Terms of service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of lab.hansolbio.com (the "Website") and any order you place on it. Please read them before you use the Website or place an order.
1. Who we are
The Website is operated by HANSOL BIO Co., Ltd. (한솔생명과학 주식회사) ("Hansolbio", "we", "us"), a cosmetics OEM/ODM manufacturer in the Republic of Korea.

2. Business use
The Website and the sample program are intended for businesses, such as cosmetics brand owners, distributors and companies preparing to launch a cosmetics business. When you place an order or send a request, you confirm that you are acting for business purposes and that you are authorised to act for the business you name.
If you are a consumer under the law that applies to you, nothing in these Terms limits the rights that law gives you and that cannot be excluded by contract, including rights under the Korean Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce where it applies.

If these Terms and the Sample Program Terms differ on a matter that concerns samples, the Sample Program Terms apply.
Production orders (product development and OEM/ODM manufacturing) are not sold on the Website. They are governed by a separate written quotation or manufacturing agreement, which prevails over these Terms. Minimum order quantities, prices, lead times, formula concepts and estimates produced by tools on the Website are information for discussion and are not a binding offer.
4. Using the Website and accounts
- You must give accurate and complete information, including your company name, contact details, delivery address and, where needed, tax or importer identifiers.
- If you create an account, you must keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity under your account and must tell us promptly if you become aware of unauthorised use.
- We may suspend or restrict access to the Website where reasonably necessary, for example for security reasons or if these Terms are breached or the Website is used unlawfully.
- We may change the content of the Website. We do not guarantee that the Website will be available without interruption.
5. Prohibited uses
You must not:
- use the Website unlawfully, in breach of these Terms or in breach of applicable export control or sanctions laws;
- give false information, impersonate a person or business, or place an order for a business you are not authorised to represent;
- request delivery to, or forward samples to, a country or territory to which we do not ship;
- use automated tools to scrape, copy or collect content or data from the Website in bulk, or interfere with the security or operation of the Website (for example by introducing malicious code, overloading it or bypassing access controls);
- copy, republish or commercially use Website content except as permitted in section 10;
- resell samples or present them as finished products for sale.
6. Orders and acceptance
- The only products that can be ordered on the Website are formula samples under the sample program.
- Your order is an offer to us. The automatic confirmation we send when we receive your order confirms receipt only; it does not mean we have accepted the order.
- A contract is formed when we dispatch the samples or confirm acceptance in writing (including by email), whichever happens first.
- We may decline or cancel an order before dispatch, for example if the delivery address cannot be verified; the destination is one to which we do not ship; the formula is unavailable or cannot be shipped (including as dangerous goods); the request does not appear to be for business evaluation; it repeats earlier requests; or a price was displayed in obvious error.
- If we decline or cancel an order you have paid for, we refund the amount you paid to the original payment method.
7. Prices and payment
- The samples themselves are free. A handling and packing fee of US$20 per formula and the shipping charge are shown at checkout before you pay. Details are in the Sample Program Terms.
- Where VAT applies, displayed prices include VAT.
- For international shipments, the recipient is the importer. Destination import duties, taxes and brokerage fees may be charged by the carrier on delivery, unless the checkout or a written quotation states that they are prepaid. See the Shipping Policy.
- Available payment methods are shown at checkout. Payments are processed by the payment provider (for example PayPal). Hansolbio does not store your card details.
- Samples are dispatched only after payment is complete.
8. Sample program, shipping and refunds
- Sample orders are subject to the Sample Program Terms, which you accept by ticking the sample-terms checkbox on the cart page.
- Shipping methods, charges, destinations, customs and delivery are covered in the Shipping Policy.
- Cancellations, refunds and delivery problems are covered in the Refund Policy.
9. Product information and claims
- Formula, ingredient and concept information on the Website is provided so that businesses can evaluate possible OEM/ODM development. It is not a retail offer, medical advice or a regulatory approval, and it does not guarantee that a formula or claim is suitable or lawful in any particular market.
- Unless a signed manufacturing agreement provides otherwise, the brand owner (and its local importer or responsible person) is responsible for the final choice of formula, labelling, product claims, notification or registration in the destination market, and advertising.
- Photos and descriptions on the Website are for illustration. Sample containers differ from final commercial packaging.

10. Intellectual property
- The rights in the Website content, including text, images, videos, formula information, design and trademarks such as the Hansolbio and 한솔생명과학 names and logos, belong to us or to the relevant rights holders.
- You may view, print and save Website content for your internal business purpose of evaluating working with us. Any other use requires our prior written consent.
- Providing information or samples does not transfer or license any rights in our formulas, know-how or other intellectual property. Ownership, exclusivity and licensing for developed products are agreed only in a signed agreement.
- You keep the rights in briefs, artwork and other material you send us, and you permit us to use it to respond to your request. You confirm that you are entitled to share it, and you must not send third-party confidential information without authority. If we have signed a non-disclosure agreement with you, confidentiality is governed by that agreement.
11. Third-party services and links
The Website uses third-party services for checkout, payments, shipping, contact forms, meeting booking, chat, maps and video. When you use these services, the provider's own terms and privacy notices also apply. We are not responsible for the content of third-party websites linked from the Website.
12. Liability
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for intent or gross negligence, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, under the Korean Product Liability Act or other product safety laws, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including the Korean Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions.
- Subject to the point above, the Website and its information are provided as they are. We work to keep the information accurate but do not guarantee that it is free of errors.
- Subject to the first point, we are not liable to business users for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, business opportunity or data, arising from use of the Website or the samples.
13. Events beyond our control
We are not liable for delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, epidemics, war, government action, customs holds, carrier disruption or network failure. In such a case we will try to inform you without delay.
14. Personal data
We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
15. Governing law and disputes
- These Terms and orders placed on the Website are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
- If a dispute arises, both parties will first try to resolve it through discussion. Please contact us at sales@hansolbio.com.
- A dispute that is not resolved through discussion shall be brought before the competent court of the Republic of Korea under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.
- If you are a consumer, your rights under applicable law regarding the court in which proceedings may be brought are not affected.
16. Changes to these Terms
- We may change these Terms within the limits of applicable law.
- We will post the changes and their effective date on this page at least 7 days before they take effect, or at least 30 days before if a change is to your disadvantage.
- Changed Terms apply only to orders placed on or after their effective date. Earlier orders remain subject to the Terms in force when they were placed.
- If you continue to use the Website after the effective date, you are treated as having accepted the changed Terms.
These Terms take effect on 6 October 2026.
