The statue had no colour left, yet she could have sworn it was warm.
The opening is luminous: white flowers, full and creamy, with the faint green snap of stems still on them. It is elegant rather than heady, the kind of bouquet that would sit on a marble table in a house with high ceilings. As it warms, a powdery softness spreads through the flowers, iris-like, cool and slightly cosmetic, so that the petals seem dusted rather than dewed. Then the amber. It arrives beneath everything, gentle and golden, turning the powder from cool to skin-warm. The dry-down is classical in the truest sense: composed, unhurried, without a single loud note. She wore it to the museum and left the museum wearing it.
Imagine it as
Starting points for a brandA women's eau de parfum for a luxury Japanese department-store private label.
A powdery white-floral hand cream for a Korean skincare house's gifting range.
