You were not hungry when you walked in; the workshop has other ideas about that.
Late autumn, a workshop with the door half open. The first note is hazelnut, roasted and faintly buttery, warm as a paper bag from the corner stall. You had not expected to be hungry. The tonka follows and deepens it: sweet hay, almond, a hint of tobacco, the smell of something being kept rather than eaten. Then the fir balsam, resinous and slightly green, sap on the workbench, a wound in the tree that has set into amber. The three notes do not separate so much as fuse, the way heat turns sugar and nut into a single golden sheet. Outside, the light is already going. Someone is expected; the second chair is pulled out. The kettle has just begun to tick against the stove.
Imagine it as
Starting points for a branda hazelnut-tonka candle for a patisserie or coffee roaster's retail counter.
a warm gourmand-woody diffuser for furniture showrooms and woodworking studios.
a nutty, balsamic hand cream for a winter gift set.
